Guidelines
(NYCR 208898) 8 HOURS CLASSROOM STUDY
The Agency Operation Guidelines course provides licensees
with a broad overview of New York State requirements, errors and
omissions concerns and general business best practices necessary for
today’s insurance agency owner and professional staff.
The course is provided in a single-day
classroom format. Students are provided with a manual which
incorporates materials developed by the Insurance Training Institute
in addition to resources published by the New York State Insurance
Department, the New York Automobile Insurance Plan, insurance
carriers and various industry trade associations.
The Agency Operation Guidelines course
addresses important issues from applicable Federal and State Law to
insurance regulations and best practices. The outline provides an
intensive 8 hour education program for licensees to use in their
daily activities as well as to share with both licensed and
non-licensed work associates.
The Agency Operation Guidelines course provides
current baseline understanding of general rules for insurance agency
owners and their licensed employees. The course also provides
licensed carrier representatives with a greater understanding of the
issues which impact consumers in an agency environment. The
materials covered in this course are applicable to all licensees. A
major focus of this course is the review of fundamental laws and
rules which all New York State Insurance License holders are subject
to.
